Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life

This is the week that we look at putting it all together. We have seen that behavior modification does not work if we want to change. The goal is to allow God to dig deeper and cause spiritual transformation. Literally, we have to give the Spirit room to work. But how?

Motivation to Change

Christianity in America faces a significant perception problem. A 2022 survey, "Jesus in America", highlighted a striking disparity. Christians most commonly described themselves using words like giving, compassionate, loving, and respectful. In contrast, people from other religious or non-religious backgrounds described Christians with vastly different words: judgmental, hypocritical, self-righteous, and arrogant. This gap is undeniable—but how can we begin to repair it? Maybe the same steps we can use to change also become the door to lasting change in our lives.
