How Exciting!

We’re thrilled that you are here! It means that you have decided to take the next step in your spiritual journey. Here is the place where you will find the answer to the question, “What do I do now?” We are here to help you process and progress in your relationship with Christ. The following will be a series of simple, next steps that you can take to learn how to follow Jesus, deepen your relationship with Him, or get more connected here at Encounter.

So let’s get started!

The Basic Idea

At Encounter, we believe that there are three main spiritual pathways that allow us to have an enriching spiritual life. They are the core of who we are and all that we do. They can be summed up in three phrases:

Love Up - Developing a deep and intimate relationship with God

Love Out - Making a difference in the lives of others

Love In - Building friendships that will support us on our spiritual journey

The goal of this page and subsequent menus is to give you the tools to build on each area of your life, thus allowing you to have a rich, intimate relationship with God. Below, you will find videos to welcome you, introduce you to the next steps, and help you lay a foundation and successfully implement the next steps into your life.

Why Take the Next Steps?

This is a very logical question to ask. Is it worth my time to invest in the spiritual dynamic of my life? Ken addresses this question in this video.

How to Approach the Next Steps

Have you ever started a new habit only to see it die off? Is it possible that you started off too big too soon? Sometimes, we don’t start a new habit when it feels like it will be too daunting. In this video, Ken looks at a practical way to remove the intimidation of spirituality making it more approachable and reachable.
