This is an opportunity for those who are members of Encounter to be a part of the inner workings of the church. We talk about church finances, plans, and vision. Our goal is to create the best Encounter with the guidance and insight of God.
How has God designed you to make a difference? What is your purpose? Who do you have a passion to serve? All of these questions will be explored in “Love Out” as we learn others the way the God loves us.

We are so excited to celebrate Dad’s with church in the park once again! This is our first time since Covid shut everything down.
The church will provide the burgers. Please sign up to bring something so that we can have a great picnic after the service.

Cook or bake your favorite dish and join us after the service to eat together and get to know each other.
Encounter has made a commitment to serve the needs of those in our community, starting with our neighborhood and North High School. Please join us in an afternoon of prayer as we walk through our neighborhood praying for every home and around North praying for every student, teacher, faculty, and staff.
At Encounter, we believe that prayer truly does change everything. We want to invite you to join us for prayer week. Beginning, March 25, there will be a theme to pray for each day.

Encounter is doing a food drive to help support the LA Regional Food Bank in its service to the victims of the fires. Raid your pantry, shop at the store, ask a friend or neighbor to contribute but let's feed those in need. We invite you to help us make a difference by purchasing and donating canned food and dried goods.
We will be collecting the items after church on January 19th.

Cook your favorite soup or bake your favorite bread. This is our Thanksgiving celebration before the actual day. It is an afternoon of enjoying different soups, getting to know each other and talking about why we’re thankful.
Operation Christmas Child is a service event sponsored by Samaritan's Purse. Imagine being a child and getting your very first ever Christmas gift. Now, imagine this happening all over the world.
We have two options. You can pick up a box on October 29th to take home to fill or you can join us for a packing party on November 19th after church. If you pack a box at home, please return it on November 19th. Our goal this year is to pack 80 boxes to be sent to kids throughout the world. Our boxes will have a special code on them and we find out what countries they went to in mid-December.
Please make a $9 donation per box you fill to help cover shipping.
Buy a pumpkin. Get some carving tools. Join our youth group for a night of pumpkin carving and watching a movie.

Are you a football fan looking to show off your knowledge? Maybe you know nothing about football but would love to hang out to connect and build friends while learning about the sport. Join Encounter’s Fantasy Football League. You draft a team, start different players each week and if your players score more than your opponent, you win the week. Win enough weeks and you may go to our playoffs and win it all.

We are working together to do a school supply drive for teachers at Edison Elementary! Our goal is $350.00 by August 18th.
With the coming challenges, schools, faculty, students, parents, and staff need prayer. After the service, we will eat together and say a prayer for all teachers and school staff at our church.
Our youth is raising money to go to summer camp this year. We are taking donations of items for the yard sale. We ask that they only be gently used so that they are more likely to sell. Please donate items by May 2nd. Also, come on out for the car wash!
Are you in High School or Middle School? Sunday, April 7th @ 5 PM is our Hawaiian club. Come enjoy snow cones, play games, laugh, and learn about God!
We invite you to join us for a 21 day -sun up to sun down fast. You can choose to abstain from food, social media, television or anything else that represents a sacrifice. Then, you choose to pray, read your Bible, or engage in some sort of spiritual activity in place of whatever you’re fasting from. It is a great way to seek God, break habits, and increase your dependence on Him. We will be breaking our fast on Easter Sunday!
It’s Super Bowl Sunday!!! Today is a fun day to show your team loyalty. Feel free to wear a jersey, t-shirt, polo, or even socks of your favorite sports team.
We are working together to sponsor teacher care packages that will be filled with a ton of goodies meant just for the staffs at Edison Elementary and North High School! Sign up on Feb. 4th to help purchase items to put into gift bags. Bring your donations on February 25th. Help stuff bags so that we can say thank you for investing in the kids in our community and we care.
We are excited for an evening of worship and prayer. This will be our last worship night of 2023 due to the coming holidays. So, come on out and join us.
