Why Was Forgiveness Important to Jesus?
The forgiveness of Jesus pays for our sin because He took the punishment we deserved. Sin is like a debt we owe to God, but we can’t pay it on our own. When Jesus died on the cross, He paid that debt for us. Because of His love, we can be forgiven and made right with God. We don’t have to carry the guilt anymore—Jesus has taken it all and given us a fresh start.
